Mrs. Jones-Durr's will be talking to the kids about writing for book publishing in preparation for MBCBF's BizSavvyKids book.
This workshop is an introduction to creative writing that fosters creativity, self-expression and excitement for writing. Answering questions like what does a writer write? Who is a writer? How to become a young author. Writing exercises that tease the mind and strengthen creativity will also be included.
Beverly Jones-Durr is a published Author, Speaker, Certified Life/Business Strategist and Educational Facilitator. She is CEO at The Writers Concierge and Founder and Executive Director at Every Child Has a Story (ECHAS), a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.
Beverly is a retired Program Analyst with the Department of the Army. Her final assignment was with HQ Army Material Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. She retired on Sept 2011, after having served twenty-four 24 years. She is a graduate of George Washington University and holds a BS in Legal Policy, a Masters in Acquisition and Contract Management and a BA in Early Childhood Education from University of Maryland. Beverly lives in Madison AL with her husband SFC (Ret) Harry S. Durr and has five amazing grandchildren.
