This Walk Tracking Sheet Encourages Kids to Get Moving

Walking is a great way to get outside and spend quality time as a family!

By Kara Murphy April 7, 2020

One of my favorite ways to get moving anytime is a walk. It not only makes me feel good to get moving outside, it also clears my head. During the coronavirus crisis it's been my go-to way to stay active while still practicing the recommended physical distancing.

I've been taking my kids with me on my daily walks since they've been home from school because it's a great way for them to get some of their wiggles out. I've also found it's a great time for me to catch up with them -- to take a mental health temperature and see and how they're feeling during this time when their worlds have been turned topsy-turvy.

So I loved that our friends at 99 Walks found a great and positive way to encourage kids to walk with their parents during the coronavirus crisis. I'm excited for my kiddos to take part!

Kids 12 and under are invited to fill out this walking sheet each day. They can color in a circle once a day after a minimum 15 minute walk.

Get at least 20 circles colored and then email a photo of the completed sheet to team@99walks.fit. The first 50 kids to complete the tracking sheet with 20 circles will earn a rubber bracelet (limit two per family, please!) Get the full color version here, or a low-color version here!
