PLEASE Listen to the Experts. Listen to the Doctors. Listen to Italy.

A Note From Your Publisher

By Jess Searcy March 24, 2020

I had to get out of my house yesterday, so I went for a walk in the neighborhood. While on my walk, I called my mom and dad (who are both over 80) to check and see how they were doing. I told my mom how I was feeling (a bit cabin feverish) and she laughed. She's been homebound for more than a year now, so she doesn't feel sorry for me. She said, "You people must be going crazy!" Um, yep.

But, I'm going to stay home.

Until the experts and doctors say it's ok to do so.

The scariest thing about this whole situation is that politicians are doing most of the talking. And they keep changing their minds about what's best. Or giving advice that ends up hurting someone. My worst fear about this whole ordeal is that I will lose someone I love before it's time and that I won't ever be able to come to peace with it. We are already such a divided nation. How will it be when people start losing loved ones and then blaming those losses on the government's response to this crisis, or on their friends and neighbors who voted differently than they did?

We can't let politicians control the dialogue. We need to come together to SAVE LIVES by "flattening the curve," and that means LISTENING TO THE DOCTORS AND EXPERTS

I'm sorry this is not a fun, upbeat note. I'm just worried, like many of you. Virtual hugs. Stay healthy and if there's anything I can do for you, even if it's just listening, hit reply on your newsletter and send me a note.
