Purple Belts in Karate and BrickFair Fun!

A Note From Your Publisher

By Jess Searcy January 21, 2020

We certainly had an eventful weekend!

The guys tested for and earned their PURPLE belts in martial arts at Battleground Martial Arts on Saturday. Honestly, I never thought they would stick with it long enough to get this far. I am so proud of them. The things Renshi Troy had to say about their efforts and skills had me bursting with pride.

Then, on Sunday, we went to the BrickFair LEGO Fan Expo. Check out our pictures on Instagram. It has grown a ton since we last visited two years ago. The exhibition of huge LEGO creations was amazing! There were all kinds of fantasy worlds with castles and landscapes, historical scenes like Stonehenge and the Battle of Troy, creatures, machines and more. There was even a whole table of scenes dedicated to depicting all the iconic parts of the Harry Potter books! It was amazing! You definitely need to put this event on your radar for next year. It is always in January or February.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend too and are staying warm this week! Cuddling up on the couch for school is making us super sleepy today.

The Alabama Garrison of the 501st Legion were at BrickFair raising money for charity!
