Enjoy red, white and blue all-American family fun this summer at the American Village in Montevallo, Alabama. The signature summer program “Celebrate America” features “Pirates, Spies and Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride.” It is a perfect activity for moms and kids of all ages. Step back in time and learn how colonial spies passed secret messages. Take part in the trial of Blackbeard’s pirates. Join Paul Revere on his midnight ride to warn the colonists that the British are coming! Meet people of the past and enjoy Colonial games on the green. You may even be conscripted into the Continental Army. Read the Village Gazette upon your arrival at the Visitors Center to find out each day’s revolutionary events.
Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it on-site in the shaded picnic area, or purchase snacks, drinks and ice cream in the Patriot Gift Shop at the American Village.
Summer hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through July 31 (excluding July 3-5). Admission is $5 per person. Veterans, active military and children ages 4 and under are free!
