May the Fourth falls on a Saturday this year! So many events popped up on our radar, we thought it would be good to put together a round-up for you. Here's what's happening for Star Wars Day in the South Birmingham, Alabama area!
May 2nd - Tween Paint Program: May the Fourth Be With You (North Shelby) - North Shelby Library
Just ahead of celebrating Star Wars day on May the 4th, we'll be painting an iconic image from the Star Wars series. We'll be using watercolors and learning to use a drip and splatter technique for our painting. Ages 8-12. Registration is required. Space is limited.

Star Wars LEGO Build at The Summit Barnes and Noble
Calling all Star Wars fans: join us for an afternoon of LEGO play and imagining a galaxy far, far away on Saturday, 5/4 at 2 PM! We'll have a Star Wars-themed LEGO Build, giveaways, a photo op, and more.
May the Fourth Be With You Community Appreciation Night at Birmingham Boulders
May the 4th, join us for an evening of food, friends, and fun! This event is free for Birmingham Boulders and First Avenue Rocks members. For nonmembers, everything is included with the purchase of a discounted $5 Day Pass! Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character to enter into our May the 4th Costume Contest!
May the Fourth Be With You at the McWane Science Center
May the fourth be with you as we celebrate all things Star Wars! Meet some of your favorite character and enjoy special programming. Learn all about light saber dueling from the Birmingham Fencing Club as they demonstrate some light saber techniques in the context of fencing! Come dressed in costume and receive $2 off the Adventure Halls per guest (discount not available for combo ticket.)
May 3rd - 5th - Star Wars Weekend at Regions Field
Friday: Join us for the first of three Star Wars Nights, as Friday night we light up the sky with a special Post-Game Fireworks Show set to the musical theme of Star Wars.
Saturday: Tonight, fans will have the opportunity to meet a collection of Star Wars characters from the Alabama Garrison 501st Legion. | Presented By HIlton Birmingham at UAB
Sunday: The first 1,000 kids in attendance will receive a light up toy lightsaber. | Presented By Adamson Ford AND Family Sundays feature face painting, a chance for kids to run the bases after the game, and other fun filled activities. | Presented By Papa John's and Jack's Restaurant
