We are so excited to announce Macaroni Kid South Birmingham's 2019 Gold Daisy School award recipient. With over 1,550 votes cast, it is clear there is a lot of love for our local schools around here. FIRST, thank you so much to everyone for your participation! Your votes and support for your school mean so much to the teachers and administration. If your school did not win this year, take a minute to mark your calendar for April 1st, 2020 and be ready to vote early and everyday. If there's one thing we've learned about the winning school, it is that it only takes a small number of dedicated people voting consistently and spreading the word to make a HUGE difference!
Thank you also to our wonderful sponsors providing some fabulous prizes to the winning school. Here's a recap of what this year's Gold Daisy School award winner will receive:
- Newk's Eatery will be providing a catered lunch to the teachers and staff of the winning Gold Daisy School!
- Riverchase Car Wash & Detail will be giving a FREE Exterior Wash, Wheels, Tire Shine + LA Wax Club's WAX & SHINE for all teachers from the winning Gold Daisy School PLUS an Interior Detail + LA Wax Club's WAX & SHINE for ONE lucky teacher or staff member drawn at random from the winning school.
- Battleground Martial Arts in Alabaster will give one FREE week of classes for any staff member at the winning school. Classes include various martial arts, kickboxing and women's combatives. Winning school may also choose to participate in Kids AIM HIGH Character Counts In School Fundraising Program
- MaidPro of Birmingham is going to clean one hard-working teacher's home for FREE (up to three hours of cleaning time). Winner will be selected at random from the winning Gold Daisy School!
- BumperNets will provide a one-hour party (birthday, classroom motivation, social, etc.) for up to 12 guests to play in all three arcade game-packed rooms with unlimited quarters, to one teacher or staff member drawn randomly from winning school!
- Lisa Guarino of ERA King Real Estate says her business depends on great teachers and PTO volunteers creating great school districts! She wants to thank PTO volunteers in the area for their hard work with a $100 cash donation to the PTO at the winning school.
- Sky Zone Hoover will be providing four one-hour jump passes to one lucky teacher drawn randomly from the winning Gold Daisy School!
- The Art Studio owner Alison Baggett, will be creating a one of a kind, handmade and personalized plaque, to be presented to the winning Gold Daisy School. The school will be able to proudly display the enthusiasm of its teachers and parents in the front office with this award plaque.
- Macaroni Kid South Birmingham will be giving the PTO for the winning Gold Daisy School $50 cash, plus 4 passes to the Birmingham Zoo to be used as a prize for students or fundraising auction

- The teachers are structured but have a way of making learning fun! We have had great teachers each year and we feel vet blessed! Our PTO works very hard to constantly be involved and support our school! They are also very much appreciated! I love our school and it will be a sad day when my children have outgrown it!
