UPDATE 10/16/17: It is Monday night and I'm up late making sure the newsletter is ready to go out as scheduled, Tuesday at 8 pm. This is "the Note From Your Publisher" for this week! I've been having an AH-MAZING time exploring Long Island, meeting other publishers face to face and soaking up as much Macaroni love and inspiration as I can, before I head home on Wednesday. Now that everyone is all together in one place, it can be a bit overwhelming, I have to admit. Sometimes I have to go hide in my room and let my ears rest from the cacophony of 140-ish women, and a handful of men, in one room. But it is oh-so-fun and I'm learning oh-so-much! Tomorrow, we have a morning of speakers, and then an afternoon getting out and exploring the area a bit more. I'm going on a hike at a local state park! I can't wait to share all the fun things for families in the Long Island, NY area I have discovered. You may not realize it, but Macaroni Kid is a national organization. There are over 500 editions of MK across the United States, and now, even in Canada. Every year, we're all invited to Macaroni Kid Meet Up. Four days of getting to know each other, traveling within the chosen city, swapping great ideas and attending sessions geared towards making your MK edition the best it can be. This year, we're going to New York! I'm excited because I've never been to Long Island,and it is also where Macaroni Kid got started! It is also my first meet up!
