A Definite Thumbs Up for the Cars 3 Driven to Win Video Game!

Today is Father’s Day and we just spent the morning chilling out and playing the Cars 3 Driven to Win video game after a crazy-fun Cars 3 video game launch party last night. I love the sound of my two sons cackling as they wreck my car with a missile launch or cause my husband’s car to spin out from a well-timed oil bomb. “Kids RULE and parents DROOL!” they declare triumphantly. Then Mike (hubby) gets the upper hand, and the boys are left groaning. No matter who “wins” though, the kids love that we can all play and compete at the same time!

I’m still working on my stunt flipping skills, but I must say, I LOVE this game. Even more, now that I’ve seen the movie. Why? The main reason is that Cars 3 is not just for little boys. As a boy mom, I’m used to all the boy-geared ev-er-y-thing in our house. So it is awesome to find a movie or video game I know will appeal to boys AND girls. And if you’ve got little girls, they need to see this movie. With two main female characters and even more minor female characters, the movie AND game are just as fun for little (and big) girls. You are going to love Ms. Fritter, the demolition derby champion school bus! She’s my favorite.

The old and new characters are fun to race, but Cars 3 is very different from other racing games.  Besides the characters, my favorite thing about this game is all the different ways you can play!  There are SIX game modes!  To name a few, you can race against friends or the computer, battle race by picking up weapons and taking out your opponents to get ahead,  or play on the stunt playground with all kinds of ramps (even a loop de loop!).  There's even a mode where you perform stunts to see who can score the most points!

All in all, Macaroni Kid South Birmingham gives the Cars 3 Driven to Win video game a big thumbs up!  For more info, where to buy, trailers and more, click HERE.

Macaroni Kid South Birmingham Cars 3 Video Game Launch Party

To celebrate the premier, we had a very special day all about Cars 3 with our friends and readers! In the morning, we took some friends to see the movie in 3D. I was so glad we had quite a few moms and a couple little girls with us when I realized the female characters were going to be the stars in this movie! Yes! There was no doubt though, the boys loved it too.

Jimmy, Sam and Cole have their 3D glasses on and are ready to roll with Cars 3!

In the evening, we headed over to Pump It Up in Pelham for our Cars 3 video game launch party! Up to four kids can play at the same time, but with 21 kids attending the party, it was nice to have a good bounce while we waited to play the game!  You could tell the kids really enjoyed the chance to try out the video game.  There was lots of squealing, triumphant victory shouts and playfully competitive back and forth chatter.

After some good bouncing and Cars 3 racing, stunts and demolition derby-ing, it was time for the food and treats part of the party!  Yay for hot, delicious pizza from Nino's Italian Restaurant!

This Cars 3 themed strawberry and chocolate cake from Cake Art by Cynthia seriously stole the show.  What an amazing addition to our Cars 3 party!  We were all SO impressed with this piece of edible art and it really made the party special.  And yes, it tasted just as good as it looks!

And what's a party without swag?  All the kids went home with some fun Cars 3 bubbles, pencils and tattoos and even a Cars 3 themed sugar cookie from Cake Art by Cynthia!
